The Pennsylvania Real Estate Exam is a comprehensive test that requires a thorough understanding of both national and state laws. It consists of two parts: the national part and the state part. The national part has 80 multiple-choice questions, and you must correctly answer at least 60 of them in order to pass. The state part has 30 multiple-choice questions, and you must correctly answer at least 23 of them in order to pass.
In total, there are 110 questions on the Pennsylvania Real Estate Exam. In order to obtain a passing grade on the exam, you must pass both the national and state parts. To pass the national part, you must correctly answer at least 60 of the 80 questions. To pass the state law portion of the exam, you must correctly answer 21 of the 30 questions (40 questions minus the 10 pre-established items).Once you have successfully completed both parts of the exam (within a three-year period), you can apply for your license by submitting a full application to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.
